Guided tours ¶

You are welcome to visit the SLF and take a look behind the scenes. The tour starts with a 15-minute multimedia presentation of our activities and fields of research. You are then shown various areas of the institute and given an immediate insight into the everyday work of our researchers.

Public guided tours

When: every Friday at 10 am (except on all holidays)
Venue: WSL Institute for Snow and Avalanche Research SLF, Flüelastrasse 11, CH-7260 Davos Dorf
Duration: 1 – 1.5 hours
Language: German only
Cost: CHF 6.00 per person
Booking: By phone 081 417 01 11 no later than noon on Thursdays. The number of participants is limited. Group registrations are not accepted.
Note: During the tour, space can sometimes become narrow. A personal mask can be convenient then.

Private guided tours

For whom: at least 10 people in school or other groups
When: by appointment (not on weekends and holidays)
Venue: WSL Institute for Snow and Avalanche Research SLF, Flüelastrasse 11, CH-7260 Davos Dorf
Duration: 1 – 1.5 hours
Cost: CHF 6.00 per person, minimum charge CHF 80.00
Flat rate for schools: CHF 70/group
Evening rate: CHF 200.00/group

Organisation, cancellations and change of reservations
We may be fully booked and unable to accept new bookings, so we recommend booking well in advance. 
Bookings are binding. If you need to change your booking, this can be done up to 14 days before the tour.
For cancellations made between 14 and 2 days before the tour, we charge CHF 40 per tour. For later cancellations, 100% of the cost must be paid.

Due to capacity constraints, no refreshments or coffee breaks are provided during tours at the Institute.
