The Acting Director has overall responsibility for the WSL and is accountable to the ETH Board for the management of operations. This means that he makes decisions on planning, research, teaching and services at WSL following consultation with the Management and the people concerned.
The Acting Deputy Director represents the Acting Director in his absence, as well as in the functions and responsibilities allocated to him by the Acting Director. Together, the Acting Director and Acting Deputy Director form the Executive Board, which is responsible for the operational management of the WSL.
The Management plans the strategic orientation of the WSL and supports the Acting Director in managing the WSL. Apart from the Acting Director and the Acting Deputy Director, it includes the following members:
During it's regular meetings the directorate is supported by two scientific staff members, the director's assistant and the heads of Communication, HR and Finances.
