My research focuses on improving understanding of soil carbon and nitrogen cycling in forest ecosystems across different climates and nitrogen deposition levels. I integrate observations from field experiments and long-term monitoring sites through large-scale data analysis and modelling of biogeochemical cycles.

Main expertise: carbon and nitrogen cycling, soil carbon storage, stable isotopes, rhizosphere dynamics, biogeochemical modelling, data analysis, forest soils.
