Snow Conditions of World Cup Ski Racing Tracks

During the Worldcup Season 2009/2010 a survey among alpine ski racers, trainers and experts identified the major injury risk factors in alpine ski racing as the equipment, athlete, course setting and topography as well as the snow properties. Starting from that a detailed analysis of the different factors was initiated. Our group was in charge to monitor the snow properties of ten WC races.
