Snow depth compared with long-term mean values

A map that compares the current snow depth with the long-term mean values is published together with the Snow Depth Map. It is based on the data collected by observer stations with records of measurement series covering a period of more than 10 consecutive years. The following categories are used:

< 60%: far below average

60 - 90%: below average

90 - 110%: average

110 - 140%: above average

> 140%: far above average

If there is a prevalence of values < 60% and significantly less than 30%, and a prevalence of values > 140% and significantly greater than 170%, these are reported with greater precision.
