Feedback avalanche danger and avalanche accidents

Information obtained directly from the field improves the quality of the avalanche bulletin. The avalanche forecasting team is very thankful for all feedback, including constructive criticism. Three forms are available for sending feedback:

Observations from terrain and estimation of the avalanche danger

Observation single avalanche (Please use this form for avalanches with caught people or property damage)

Observation several avalanches


The paper versions of the questionnaires are available anymore (Downloads):

  • Questionnaire A: Observations in the field and estimate of the avalanche danger level
  • Questionnaire B: Avalanche observation without damages to persons or property
  • Questionnaire C: Avalanches with caught persons without damages to property

The can be sent to SLF by fax using the toll-free fax number 0800 800 188.

Further you can also record your remarks and observations on the avalanche conditions you have observed using the toll-free phone number 0800 800 187. Your comments will be heard by the avalanche forecasting service. Please use the e-mail address lwp@slf.ch for sending written comments and for digital pictures.
