You are welcome to visit the SLF and take a look behind the scenes. The tour starts with a 15-minute multimedia presentation of our activities and fields of research. You are then shown various areas of the institute and given an immediate insight into the everyday work of our researchers. Given that our research work is performed as a public service and that we seek to resolve problems that are relevant to society in general, we are eager to make our knowledge and findings accessible to the public at large. We have therefore set up an interactive exhibition in our foyer. If you are interested in the work undertaken by the researchers at the SLF, or wish to find out more about snow, natural hazards or mountain ecology, you are very welcome to pay us a visit. Six exhibits and various models and computer simulations enable you investigate our subject areas in greater detail and conduct experiments while having fun at the same time.
